![]() Retro PopArtwork by Kayla Mendoza Media: Digital Art This is Linde who inspired me to created based on 1980s "Retro Fashion". For what I know it's was well known for its bright and colorful patterns also very bold and out there. So I ended up using bright and neon light color for her outfit and shape. | ![]() Welcome to the Roaring 20'sArtwork By: Jazzmyn Viray Welcome to The Roaring 20s is an attempt to take one of my favorite decades and design a poster they may have had at the time in my own style while also appreciating the detailed fashion of the time in the woman’s dress. |

![]() “To Be a Rock and Not to Roll”Artwork by: Celeste Edell Media: Pen and Marker This work is inspired by Rock and Roll artists and bands from the 1970s. I took images of each artist and surrounded them with images derived from some of my favorite songs of theirs, or from some of their most famous hits, or simply their band logos. The title of this piece is taken from the lyrics to “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin, and each symbol in the corners represents each member of said band. | ![]() UntitledArtwork By: Elise Viapiano |
![]() My 18 Year Old Grandmother in the 1960sArtwork by: Katherine Gonzalez Media: Color Pencil, Crayons, Pen, Marker This is based on the 1960s look and I got a picture from my grandmother which was taken this time in the 1961 she was at the age of 18 years old when she got her high school picture taken. | ![]() UntitledArtwork by: Kathy Quiroz Media: Acrylic |
![]() A Journey of Decades FashionArtwork by: Hannah Peterson Media: Digital Painting These pieces show outfits inspired from some of my favorite decades. | ![]() Valley GirlArtwork By: Maya Vega My artwork is inspired by the 80’s with the prompt of the decades. The reason why I chose the 80’s as my decade is because I feel like it is the most colorful and influential decade for clothing aesthetics. Another reason is because the 80’s has been a trend for this past year and the style was my inspiration for my drawing. |
![]() Best Music of the Decade 2010-2019Artwork by: Kanami Ikemizu Media: Watercolor, colored pencil, and 8.5*11in paper I painted the best music of the decade in 2010-2019. I want everyone to feel nostalgic when they see this. The songs are Rolling in the Deep by Adele, Firework by Katy Perry, Gangnam style by PSY, Happy by Pharrel Williams, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, See You Again by Wiz Khalifa & ft. Charlie Puth, Closer by The Chainsmokers, Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, God’s Plan by Drake, and Bad Guy by Billie Eilish. | ![]() Go Tigers!Artwork by: Jaylin Zavala Media: Digital Painting |

![]() Ladies of the DecadesArtwork by: Lois Slimp Media: Graphite Classic. That’s something I’d use to describe all these ladies. I drew famous actresses from the 1940s until now, coming up with actresses that are well known throughout history for their works. The actresses I chose were: Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Carrie Fisher, Molly Ringwald, Winona Ryder, Emma Watson, Jennifer Lawrence, and Zendaya. All these women are known well throughout the acting community and are people I looked up to. | ![]() 50's fashionArtwork By: Zyanya Garcia Media: Digital Manipulation and collage |
![]() 1960’s CorvetteArtwork By: Samantha Marquez Media: Acrylic A Corvette car parked in front of an old 1960’s diner | ![]() The Roaring FutureArtwork By: Emory Schlanger Media: colored pencil and acrylic My art is supposed to depict if in a possible future, the 20s fashion came back into style. The girl has an unusual skin tone because the way I picture the future, people become more diverse and like nothing we’ve seen or maybe we discover some sort of other form of life. I picture the 20s through her hair, makeup, and clothing, but the rest should take on a futuristic style with the metallic acrylic and the fluorescent color. |

![]() FabArtwork by: Paloma Castro | ![]() Decades DinerArtwork By: Ruthie Adams I chose to show how diners have evolved overtime. In the 80’s they were very bright and full of color. Going into the early 2000’s they were still colorful, but not as vibrant. Finally, now in 2020, diners are mainly empty, due to the virus, but very modern in style. |
![]() A Look into the Future PastArtwork By: Melanie Garcia Mediums: Water color, charcoal, graphite, and pastel. Description: A keytarist from the 80’s has somehow ended up in a jazz club in 1950 and shocks those around him. | ![]() KevinPinedoArtwork By: Kevin Pinedo Colored Pencil This is a flash back to the 50’s. This vintage styled postcard is inspired by those from the 50’s. With classic Los Angeles elements such as light blue letters to represent the sunny skies of southern California. To the classic Hollywood sign in the distance. I decided to do a Los Angeles theme postcard because I love to show where I'm from. Not in a heritage or a ethnic thing. But where I was born and where most of my roots are planted. |

![]() untitledArtwork By: Victor Rangel Hernandez | ![]() 1962 : Lucille BallArtwork By: Emily Armendariz Digital Art I chose the year 1962 because that was the year when “The Lucy Show” aired. While growing up I’ll usually watch tv at my grandmothers when she’ll take care of me. She didn’t have cable so I would watch anything that would come on and one of those shows was “The Lucy Show”. It was and still is one of my favorite shows to watch including her other shows like “I Love Lucy” , “Here’s Lucy”, “Life with Lucy”, etc. |
![]() Decades of MusicArtwork by: Camilla VanZyl Media: mixed | ![]() EmotionsArtwork by: Georgia Johnston Media: Graphite This piece is after a song called weird which basically corresponds to our current situation in quarantine and all the thoughts and emotions that are going through our heads and overall just wanting someone to be there and know that they aren’t alone feeling this way. This piece is in the art style of typography. |
![]() The moon shines on deathArtwork By: David Venya Media Watercolor and graphite I wanted to work with the persona of death. There are of course many faces behind death, as some interpret death as a man and some as a woman. Also taking on many names such as the grim reaper, Death, Thanatos, and etc. Many just like to draw a hooded figure of a skull with a scythe but to me death is like a fallen angel who’s been cast out hence the wings. He doesn’t have a skull for a face, but a face you can’t see. He can pass as one of us | ![]() UntitledArtwork By: Olive Mitchell |
